For the first time, Covibes is releasing the list of top popping Nigerian producers purely based on data. Yes data.
We combed through Boomplay Charts to understand the most listened to songs, the ranking on the chart, the producers behind them, and the number of appearances each producer made. We mixed all these together and brought out the Top 10 producers for May. Enjoy
The top streamed songs in Killertunes’ catalogue for the month of May are Beginning — Joeboy, Soapy — Naira Marley and Worry — Lyta.
Oscar is the genius behind many of Simi’s songs. His top streamed songs are the amazing Duduke, Joromi and Complete Me all by Simi.
Blaq Jerzee produced Opo ft Wizkid — 2baba and the newly released I no go give up on you — Mr Eazi.
Beats by KO represents the new crop of producers now in the industry. His songs have been doing the charts. His songs are Don’t Call Me Back and All for You by Joeboy.
Just like KO, Dera and P.Priime also represent the new crop of producers on the block.
Dera’s popular songs that earned him a place on our top 10 list are Baby and Call by Joeboy.
While we were quarantined, P.Priime continued cooking stuff working on Isolate ft DJ Neptune — Teni, Unripe Pawpaw — Zlatan, and the song we all love Like I do — Fireboy DML.

What We Noticed
- Some producers don’t take their brand seriously by insisting they are credited for their work.
Loophole
- We didn’t consider the number of streams each song has across all major streaming platforms, partly because of its public unavailability. We will work on this in the coming series.
